Counselor in Training
The YMCA of Central New Mexico CIT (Counselor In Training) program has a 25 year legacy of teen leadership development providing an experiental work experience in our summer day camps, work ethic development, age appropriate team work and fun.
Our CITs have the opportunity to work side by side with YMCA staff, learning how to be work effectively with children. On Professional Development Fridays the entire CIT staff gets together for teamwork, resume building, interviewing skills and visiting local businesses to learn about employment opportunities. Teens must be 13 years of age to be eligible for the CIT Program. Call your local branch and request a CIT application. Once completed, the CIT Coordinator will call and schedule an interview.
