The YMCA of Central New Mexico offers social networks and activities that bring together people that share common passions and personal interests.

Spanish Classes

Learning a second language can challenge the mind and provide you skills to reach out to members of our community more effectively. While taking this class, you and your peers will work through the intricacies of intermediate Spanish. Class meets once a week with occasional home work. See our group exercise schedule for specific classes and times.

Lunch & Learn

Bring your nutritious sack lunch to our quarterly lecture to broaden your knowledge of current issues. Our community has a wealth of willing speakers who share their expertise. Topics range from health related concerns to internet safety and much more.

Senior Outings

Going on a field trip to a local museum or restaurant lets you spend time with friends in a relaxed atmosphere. Our Y staff in charge will take care of all the details, including transportation from the Y to and lunch arrangements. We will help you cultivate your love of history at the museum or share with you a shopping time at the plaza. Various field trips are scheduled throughout the year.

Guitar Workshop

It’s not an exercise class, but have fun and stimulate your mind and spirit. This class is held in the group exercise room.
